Founders

Aparnaa Ananthakrishnan began her Carnatic music journey at the age of 5 under the tutelage of Smt. Shailaja Iyer and later under Smt. Vasanthi Iyer. Recognizing her passion for Carnatic music, Aparnaa began learning from Dr. Mala Swamy from Chennai, India. In addition to performing concerts across the United States and in India, Aparnaa has also competed and won several national and international Carnatic vocal competitions. Inspired to provide opportunities for fellow artists to perform during the pandemic, she founded Anandam Lives Music. As someone who values equal accessibility to medical care, she also partnered with medical nonprofits to host fundraising concert series.
